Deceased Name: LUCILLE L. HAGENBROCK- TARAN LUCILLE L. HAGENBROCK-TARAN, 85, of Black River Falls and
formerly of Duluth, died Sunday, April 1, 2007 at Black River Memorial
Hospital, Black River Falls, under the care of Black River Hospice. Lucille was born on Oct. 28, 1921 at Devils Lake, N.D., to
Frank and Charlotte (Orton) Walker. The family moved to Duluth when Lucille was an infant and
she had lived there for over 80 years. She graduated from Duluth Central High
School. Lucille married Lewis Hagenbrock in 1939 in Duluth.
Lucille and Lewis Hagenbrock were blessed with 12 children. Lewis died on
Feb. 9, 1983. She later married Oscar Taran in Nov.
of 2001 in Duluth. Oscar died in 2003. For 25 years, she was employed as a ward secretary at
Duluth hospitals and retired from Miller-Dwan Medical Center. Lucille moved
to Black River Falls in February of 2006 and had been a resident of Parkside
Residence. She was a long time member of St. Edward's Episcopal
Church of Duluth. Lucille was extremely proud of her family. In addition to
spending time with her family, she loved the Lief Erickson Rose Garden,
traveling and vacationing in Florida, reading, and children. She also wrote
her own autobiography. She is survived by her 12 children, John (Jean) Hagenbrock
of Black River Falls, Jim (Betty) Hagenbrock of Minneapolis, Jerry (Jan)
Hagenbrock of Duluth, Judy (Ed) Nollett of Cape Coral, Fla., Jean (Larry)
Anderson of Black River Falls, JoAnne (Mike) Durand of Duluth, Jeff (Barb) Hagenbrock
of Black River Falls, Joe (Sue) Hagenbrock, of Cape Coral, Fla., Jorge
(Eileen) Hagenbrock of Cape Coral, Fla., Janet (Duane) Davidson of Duluth,
Julie (Tony) Cossette, of Brainerd, Minn., and Joyce (John) Hanke of Sun
Prairie; 21 grandchildren, Wendy, Scott, John, Julianna, Cammie, Tracy, Dena,
Krista, Kelley, Kim, Sonia, Ryan, Nathan, Nicholas, Jennifer, Lindsay, Chris,
Phil, Morgan, Jacob, and Jordan; and 24 great grandchildren, Whitney, Taylor,
Michael, Tyler, Madison, Keith, Cameron, Connor, Keifer, Chase, Chloe, Regan,
Gabriel, Bennett, Brea, Tyler, Zachary, Kathryn, Craig, Brekken, Courtney,
Aiden, Keaton, and Adeline and one brother-in-law, Harry Hagenbrock. SERVICE: 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2007, from the Black
River Falls United Methodist Church. Rev. Kathleen Jury will officiate.
Lucille's grandchildren will be casket bearers. Family and friends are
invited for visitation from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday in the church.
Memorials may be given to the Partners of Black River Memorial Hospital or
the Black River Hospice. The Buswell Funeral Home
(www.buswellfuneralhome.com). Black River Falls, is assisting the family with
